This heat conductometer is for demonstrating the different heat conductivity of five metals by observing the melting of wax.
Consists of 5 rods (LxD), 75 x 5mm of aluminum, brass, iron, copper, and stainless steel which
radially fitted on a brass disk of about 27mm diameter.
Each of these rods have a cavity at the outer end for holding paraffin wax.
The central disk is joined to an insulated handle by 125mm long plated steel rod. Overall length is about 32cm.
Connection of all rods to the
central disk is like screw and bolt. One end of each rod is formed like a
screw and the other end has a cavity (small hole) to hold the wax. There
is another hole on the center of the disk. So, you have choice to connect
the handle to the side or to the center of the disk.
Your heat experiments can be educational
The central disk is labeled with
the name of metal rods. This will simplify your experiment. This set comes
completely assembled and ready for use. You supply heat source and wax.
Save Time: Finding same diameter and
same length metal rods of different metals is a challenge for students who
want to perform a heat conductivity experiment. This pre assembled set can
save you time, so you can get to your experiment as soon as
If you want to separate individual metal
rods from the center disk, you can simply unscrew them using a pair of pliers
or any similar tool.
